In despair with Hope

Following humanity's silent sighs,
I find blank faces and tired eyes.
Conscience sleeping in tight cocoons,
Religion sold in packets by buffoons.
Belief in words of people dead.
Yet not on the god gifted head
People help in hope of gaining more
And trust is sold on streets like a whore.
Life is torn apart in eternal strife.
Here death comes cheaper than life.
Fate is decided on the balance sheet.
The poor treated as a pile of meat.
I wander off in silence from this crowd.
In search of one who makes him proud.
A kingdom of conscience can be founded then,
The land we shall call kingdom of heaven.
